Kitchen ventilation is required for cooking in enclosed kitchens. Without proper ventilation, grease, smoke, odors and heat can irritate respiratory illness; grease can also damage the cabinetry and décor in residential kitchens. Kitchen range hoods are mounted above the cooking surface, and the air is ventilated via ductwork that is hidden behind the cabinets or behind a decorative telescopic chimney. The chimney is attached to the range hood. (Ductless range hoods do not use ductwork; they filter air and re-circulate it back into the kitchen.) Browse Range Hoods Inc for a wide selection of kitchen range hoods.
